Syncopation dot positioning
I apologise in advance for possible use of incorrect musical terms - I am (sadly) not a musician.
While copying choral sheet music I noticed, maily in the accompanying part, if there are dotted notes on a staff-line the dot may be above or below the staff-line. I noticed two different issues with this positioning:
-
If the note is part of a slur or tie the dot and the slur or tie line nearly meld together. One can move the slur line a little more up or down (count the clicks ;o) flip the dot and return the line back to its former position - tedious! I noticed the placing of the dot may be above or below the staff line depending on neighbouring score elements, it just appears that slur or tie lines are not recognised by the dot placing algorithm.
-
If the note is a semiquaver or shorter the end of the flag(s) just about touches the dot. One can select the dot and change its X offset to about -0.25sp - this too is tedious. Can the dot position of flagged notes be permanently between the note and the flag-tip?
