Can't set sample rate to 96000 in preferences

Both my sound card and my windows settings are set to 96000, so when use MuseScore playback with a lower sample rate it plays slower and is pitch shifted down.
The problem is that i can't set my audio card's sample rate to match musescore because then the rest of my
computer cant make sound at all, and i would like to keep all my settings at 96000.

Is there really no way to set musescore to a sample rate above 48000 or is this just an issue on my end somehow?
