Flipping a slur
Is there a way to flip a slur? It seems the default is to put the slur above the notehead whereas I want it below. I can edit it and drag the little handles but this is a hassle.

The default is actually top put it on the side opposite them stems if the stems are all the same direction, or above if the stems are not consistent, also above if the slur is sufficiently long. This is "kind of" standard, but MuseScore's notion of what constitutes "sufficiently long" is often too aggressive. Something being reconsidered for MuseScore 4.
Hard to tell from just a picture, but I'm guessing your score uses multiple voices and the "stems" (that would appear if enabled) are opposite the slur. So another possibility is to alter which voices you are using, so the slur shows up on the desired side by default.

No multiple voices. I learned the hard way that with lute tab you have to just use one voice. The slurs are pull offs between two notes and always go underneath in lute tab. This was a very easy problem to solve thanks to Jojo-Schmitz's tip.
I have two more problems that are just killing me. One is how to get double dots and the other is getting triplets. Both of these occur towards the very end of the piece.
All the video explanations I've watched involve producing rests first. Well, there are no rests in the tab! I tried over and over to hold option 3 or 6, but no luck. I got so fed up trying, that I copied some triplets from another Baroque lute tab made by someone else and pasted it in and changed the notes. Unfortunately they are a different size. Also, what I really want is a sextuplet not two triplets.

So, for triplets, it is not necessary to enter rests (I am used to that, sorry I didn't include both possibilities). That said, there may be rests, depending on the style of TAB and the period.
But since you don't use one, just enter a note instead a rest, let's say a quarter note (the first note of the wished triplet), then Ctrl/Cmd + 3, and you'll get a triplet (just fill, e.g. in two more eighth notes, or a quarter note, that's all). And whether it's in the "Stems and Beams" or "Note symbols" style
Also, try not to mix questions on different threads (about slurs, extra basses in Baroque lute, triplets, double dots), you could have extended the other mentioned thread, and I would have answered like here, after understanding how you work.
EDIT: and for the double dot, you must work in "Advanced" workspace, not in "Basic", via eg: menu "View" -> Workspaces -> click Advanced...

As noted, rests aren't needed to enter tuplets. The usual way is to simply enter them directly as explained in the Handbook, just part of the usual left to right note input. That is, without ever leaving note input mode, select the total duration for the triplet, press Ctrl+3, then enter the notes (similar for other tuplets - Ctrl+6 for sextuplets, for instance).
Double dots as noted simply require you be on the Advanced workspace.
As for voices, maybe there is something I'm missing but I'm not aware of anything about lute tablature as opposed to other types that precludes their use. Should work the same as any other tab staff - an effective way of cleanly separating the notation for independent rhythms, whether you intend to actually show the stems or not. But indeed, it's never necessary to use multiple voices with tablature, just sometimes simpler.
