Triplet brackets erased after saving
I saved my score and closed the Musescore 3.6 app on my Windows 10 pc. When I opened it the next day, as I was entering a few final slurs, I noticed that the triplets I had entered days before no longer had brackets! The box for “Visible” is ticked on the Inspector when I click on the “3” under the notes. There were the three eighth notes joined with the beam, and the number “3” below, but no brackets on each side of the “3”. I tried to delete the notes and re-enter the triplet, but there still was no bracket added. I looked at the handbook and the discussions but didn’t find anything about this. Is there a simple way to fix this? I don’t want to do anything that will undo the hours I’ve spent adjusting layout. Also, what is the best way to save a score that will prevent the system from undoing your work after you save it? I go to File, Save as. Thanks.

If beamed, the bracket won't show by default. You can force it though setting the triplet's bracket from Auto to Bracket in Inspector

Jojo, I learned something new about triplets, thanks to Musescore’s auto setting and your reply! Thank you. It was a relief to find that the notation is correct. Please excuse my lack of understanding of triplet notation.
Concerning saving, this time I saved the score under Save As but also exported it. Can you please give me any tips on printing it to standard 8.5 x 11” paper while retaining the layout I adjusted on the score? Thanks.

There is no standard 8.5 x 11” paper, the standard is A4, 210mm x 297mm ;-)
Serious: just pick ypour paper format from Format Page settings (and yes. there's also Letter, 8.5 x 11” )
MuseScore does pick its default format depending on the devault format of your default printer.
If your page settings match those of your printer, it'll print just fine.
