Is it possible to pan the metronome?

I would like to pan the Metronome to one channel to give someone listening to an export the option of using a balance control to adjust the Metronome's level relative to that of instrument playback on the other channel.

As the Metronome doesn't appear in the Mixer, I can't see an obvious way of doing that. Am I missing something, or do I have to export the Metronome and instrument playback separately and use an audio editor to recombine them?
