Editing endings
I'm trying to figure out how to edit the ending numbers. In one case, I want to repeat a section twice (play the section 3 x), so I want the ending number to read "1., 2." In another case I want to select the open "2." ending & change it to "3." Is there a way to do this?
Thank you.

Select the volta and have a look to the options in the inspector.
There is a section 'Text', only for the human reader und you can fill in any meaningful text, e.g. 1,2.
And below there is a section 'Volta Repeat list'. There you must list how often this volta section should be played. In your case, the first volta should have the values 1,2, the second one '3'.
And the measure with the end repeat bar line should have an appropriate property for the play count. In your case the value '3' is correct. Select the window by right click in the measure and choose 'Measure properties...'
The second staff is belonging to your question, the first one shows some more possibilities.
In figuring out stuff, looking at the relevant online handbook pages could be of value: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/voltas
Of course this only works if you know how those things are called ;-)
