multimeasure rests (length of solid bar)
Hello. When I hit M to create multimeasure rests after all notes are in, the length of the bar varies but is generally too long. How do I make it shorter? I've tried the "layout stretch" feature, but that only works on measures NOT contained in a multimeasure rest. I've tried various other things (too many to name) but nothing has worked. Help! Thanks!

The length should change automatically according to the width of whatever else is on the system. So, simply include more on the same system and the rest should adjust according. Or if you already have the measures you want, you can use "}" to make them wider.
If you need further assistance, just attach your score and describe which rests you are having trouble sizing as desired.
