Hide parts in Musescore 4
In Musescore 3, I could hide instruments by clicking "i" and still hear their sound which isn't possible anymore. In Musescore 4 there is an "instruments" pallet but when I hide a part with it the playback from that instrument is also hidden. Is there a way to hide a part and keep the playback in Musescore 4?

In that instruments panel, keep the instrument itself visible; but expand it and then hide the individual staves inside it.

What does this mean?
I press I and the Add or Remove Instruments dialog comes up.
It shows all the instruments, even though the ones that are hidden because I hid them with MuseScore 3.
The instruments are hidden from the score and now I can't show them.
I do not know what you mean by "expand them"
The only thing it lets me do to an instrument under "Your score" is Make Soloist.

As mentioned in the opening post, not the Instruments dialog window (I), but the Instruments Panel (F7).

In Musecore 3, it’s so easy to make any instrument invisible but hear its playback. In Musecore 4, I tried so hard still failed.
Could you please make a video: How to hide the instrument but keep its playback . Thank you and Happy new year 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆
This is actually a problem. Makes it impossible to for instance, have a piccolo or bass trombone part but only show flute and tuba on the score.

Video would be very useful here. I just want to hide a part in the score that is resting

Then use Format > Style > Score > Hide empty staves

Thank you.
MS4 is amazingly ❤️Tanticruel is a hero. . MS3 was intuitive but 4 is on another level.
With it so easy to add parts I think I’ll just add drum at the end when all the other parts are done.
I may even try doing a piece one part at a time .
