No linked staff option in score setup
I write a lot of mandolin tablature. In MS3, I could add a linked staff with tabs to the standard notation staff when I was setting up my score. In MS4, it seems I can only add a linked staff after the score is all set up. It's a minor annoyance, to be sure, but it impacts workflow. Will this be implemented in the future, or was it left out of score setup on purpose?
Aside from that, MS4 is fabulous. I'm really enjoying using it.

Not on my Mac. I can add a staff of tablature, but it's not linked. The only option I have in the setup is "make soloist".

I'm not sure what you mean by that. It's the right dialog for creating a new score. In MuseScore 3, I could add a linked staff at this point in the setup process:
And now in MuseScore 4, the only thing I can do is "make soloist".
I know I can add a linked staff to the score once it's set up and I'm already editing it, but that's an extra step. I just want to know if this is something that was deliberately removed from the score setup process or something that just hasn't been implemented yet in the new version?

Good question...

It's currently not part of the instrument selection process wizard indeed. Instead, you can use a template. There is a provided one for guitar, but once you setup one mandolin score as you like, you can then save that to your Templates folder and select that from now on.
