Musescore 4 - How to separate two lines of Piano as individual vocal parts?

I have a score and there is a left hand part and a right hand part in piano. I don't know how to separate these two lines as individual vocal parts. I want to mute one of them and only listen to the other.

  1. Add a new voice instrument to the score.
  2. Select all of one stave of the piano part, cut and paste into the voice part.

This functionally separates the two. The rest is just clean-up e.g. repeat 1-2 for the other piano part and then delete the piano.
