MuseScore doesn't play first bar of first repeat on first loop

Hi, I'm new to MuseScore and trying to find my way around. I have a short piece that I have imported from a Music XML exported from Finale, so possibly some metadata is confused, or possibly I have the notation wrong. In this piece, the last measure of the repeated portion is identical to the opening non-repeated portion except for the tied in note from the previous measure (is there a better way to do this?). Oddly, when I play this in MuseScore, the first time through, it completely ignores the flute part while still playing the viola part, but it does play both parts on the second repeat. I am very confused as to this behavior. Can anyone help me?
