Second set of notes in Measure
I have a 2 verse song where the timing is different for the second verse. In verse 1. the notes are dotted quarter followed by an eighth note. In verse two it would be quarter note followed by two eighth notes. I would probably show them as smaller, which I know how to do. Is there a way I can notate these different rhythms ?

The linked article in the handbook in my previous post shows how to notate different rhythms on the same stave. If that is not helping, please come back and describe which part of the process is causing you difficulty.
I thought I added my work around shown in the musescore file but I guess I didn't. I wound up reducing the dotted quarter to a quarter and added a note in place of the eighth rest that appeared. I tied the quarter and eighth together to give me dotted quarter I needed for verse 1. I then added a second note, a "chord", so to speak, to the eighth note to give me the note I needed for verse 2 and reduced the "chord" note size for emphasis. I added a blank lyric for verse 1. and the word I needed vor verse 2. This is shown in the file.
