Playback not started at selected position (4.01)

Intermittently the playback will not begin at the selected note. Instead playback will begin at some other point. The only way to get it to work properly is to close the program, re-open it and then re-select the desired starting point. But if I need to stop and reset the starting point then the problem re-occurs.
