Formatting question
Hi there,
I have two questions I am struggling with if anyone can help me out?
From the next screenshot:
1) I did something, and now the system barline doesn´t span over to next staff, no matter "Span over..." box is ticked or not. Where could I restore this setting to the normal behaviour? (already tried "restore all styles to default") (EDIT: Fixed this one already)
2) In the second system I want to collapse the left hand staff. I only managed to get it cutaway, which keeps the group´s bracket. I would like to "collapse" or "hide only selected staff". Is that possible in Musescore?

Don't make the measures invisible, but use Format > Style > Score > Hide empty staves

That function hides empty staves from the whole score. Is it possible to apply it only to the selected measures?
best,

No

But you can make it apply to only specific staves, by instead going to Staff/Part properties and setting Hide when empty to Always.
Also, if there is a specific empty staff you want to keep, you can set it to Never in that same dialog. or if it's only on a single system, you can add a piece of white or text to a measure to force it to not be considered empty (so far that's the best workaround I know).
BTW, instead of hiding time signatures individually, better to disable then in Staff/Part properties. You can also use section breaks to suppress courtesy signatures, etc.
If you continue to have trouble, please attach your actual score instead of just a picture, then we can understand and assist better.
