Lyrics writing issue Mac

Hi! I'd like to report an issue I'm facing while working on some german lyrics on a MuseScore 4 project.
Here on MacOS I can easily choose special characters (in this case, vowels) holding any of them for a couple of seconds. This feature works in every software I work with, but not in MuseScore: holding the key, immediately a ton of letters appears!
Did you notice something similar before?

In MuseScore the usual way to enter special characters in lyrics is to pull up the Special Characters window. Shortcuts: on MS3=F2, and on MS4=Shift+F2.

But in other domains we are indeed used to holding down a key to see the optional accented characters - I use this on my mobile all the time.
