Remove ties from drum track

I've imported a drum track that was created in a different software packages (LMMS). However some of the instruments contain ties which I want to replace with rests (since you can't really "hold" a snare drum).

I know I can remove the ties by either click and deleting them, or by untoggeling them with the ties button. The first option is a bit too cumbersome while the latter removes only the ties and not the second note (so instead of one long note I get two shorter notes). Hiding the ties would be fine as well, as is done in the "simple" guitar tableture.

Would someone know what the easiest way to do this is?
