When I import a file into Musescore there are greyed-out rests. Does anyone know how to get rid of these?

When I import a file into Musescore there are greyed-out rests. Does anyone know how to get rid of these?

If they are greyed out, they are "invisible", meaning they will not print or show up in an exported pdf. If don't want to see them in the editing display you can turn them off from the view menu. If they are not in voice 1 you can delete them but that is not recommended as it makes subsequent editing more difficult.
