Why does not SHIFT+X on a tab note indicate in the note's properties that the note has parenthesis

Pressing SHIFT+X on a note on tab adds parenthesis around that note.
However in the note properties, that note is not marked has having parenthesis.
So the only way to remove the parenthesis is to press SHIFT+X again.
Is this the normal behaviour ?
