How do you remove the bass staff from a score

Press "I" to bring up the Instruments list, select the instrument you want and press the "Remove for score" button.
I think in your case you imported this rather than create it from scratch in MuseScore so he instrument does not have a name. Click on the bare area (highlighted) and then on the Remove button.
