date in British (if not the whole of Europe) order
In the header/footer it is possible to add the date (eg of last modification date) to a score. In MS4 it adds it in the annoying US version YMD rather than the more obvious DMY.
As everything is usually cusomisable, how do I change it to 'my' preference please?
TIA.
ps, I searched the handbook for "date format" and "date formatting" but drew a blank

Yes, it's a known problem, which was reported back in December 2022 as
"The date macros ($d, $D, $M) for header/footer show the dates in US format (MM/DD/YY)"

4.2 will at least use the more sensible ISO format, yyyy-mm-dd

Are you saying we will be forced to accept a ridiculous date order, or will we be able to change it in preferences?

for 4.0.0 to 4.1.1 yes, you have to accept that ridiculous US format
From 4.2.0 on, you'd have the much more sensible ISO format
Whether the old MU3 format ever comes back (format as per your current locale) or something even better is up in the stars. Check that GitHub issue

Thanks JoJo,
I just hate being forced to use a date system that is used in such a small part of the world. Not to mention it also looks totally illogical. I'll await the elves working their magic.
