Whaaaa! Tonight's Crash in version 4.1 Lost Important Musical Score
I "save" all my documents on my MAC every few minutes. My Mac crashed while I was creating a score. Upon rebooting, the file will not open and I'm told it is corrupted. I found the original file and the "autosave" version in my scores folder, but no application will open it. What a horror to have lost 2 days of work. My OLDER files (from only a day ago) are opening. I have uploaded the file here.

Recovered with MuS 3.6.2.
Try to open the attached file and maybe you need to correct the title block formattings.

Seems you swapped subtitle and "lyricist"?
And changed from continous to page view.

May be. I do not know the song.
When opening in MuS3 the text style is lost and I can only guess the assignment - wrong apparently :-).
Yes, I switched to page view to reformat the title block.
This will be easy to fix in MuS 4 as well.

Yep. But not needed, as that score simply isn't broken at all

BTW: my 3.7 won't loose these style settings ;-)

I tested 3.7 a few months ago: no palettes available on Win7.

Did you try the 32-bit version too?

No, as I have the 64-Bit OS Win 7.
My old link results in 404. I'm not familiar with Github and can't find the current version.

Thank you!
Yes, the 32 bit version shows the palettes.
EDIT: And it opens MuS 4 files - perfect!

Different Qt version, 5.9 vs. 5.15
Opens fine in Musescore 4.1.1
Copy file to another location. Don't try to open it from backup folders
Indeed no problem opening that original file in 4.1.1 on Windows 11
DEAR FRIENDS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SINCERE CONCERN AND VERY HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS. I think I’ve got IT UNDER CONTROL NOW! YOU ARE A GREAT COMMUNITY and so much more helpful than the official handbook’
