Some MuseScore files open fine, some don't. They used to open fine but no longer.
All of a sudden I can't open certain Musescore files. They were all created around the same time, recently. I saw a post about using a decompression program to extract music portion, but this seems difficult.

1. Download the free 7-Zip software from https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
2. Once you have downloaded the right format for your computer's operating system, run 7-Zip
3. From the 7-Zip menu choose File > Open > [your_score_file].mscz
4. Look for the file with suffix .mscx, select and choose "Extract" from the toolbar
