Ties and staccato dots mixed up after updating to MuseScore 4.2
After updating to v.4.2 most of the ties in my score were changed to staccato dots. I don't know how to show it in a screenshot, but if needed I can attach something, of course. Will there be a hotfix for this or should I change everything manually? Thanks in advance for the help!

Rather than a screenshot it is much better to attach the score itself (the .mscz file). A picture just shows the symptoms. The score allows someone to poke around in the internals to find what is broken.

Here it is. I'm pretty sure I didn't hit the save button in 4.2. The file properties say it was last edited 18 Dec, and I updated to 4.2 on 19 Dec. I also attached a screenshot to show how it looks in 4.2 and where the problem is exactly.
I'm speaking about Violin solo part in the score, which is also extracted as a part in its own tab.
Starting from bar 246 there were no articulations (at least on longer notes), and then starting from bar 267 there were some two-notes ties with no dots. And later there should've been long ties, like every half measure on its own tie.
Now this large piece of music is filled with dots on every note.

I don't see any differences between 4.2.0 and 4.1.1 in measure 247 and following

I will try to find an earlier backup of this score to see if the same happens to it and then let you know!
To be honest, there is no way I would delete all the different ties and articulations and then put dots on every note myself. Maybe I saved the file in 4.2 after all…

No, it is a 4.1 score

I still see ties in the score, but there are lot of staccatos. Perhaps a finger fumble activated SHIFT+S (toggle staccato) on the way to CTRL+SHIFT+S (save as). Only yesterday I found myself doing a save instead of adding a staccato.

I went through my files and found out that the dots in fact appeared the day before I updated, so it’s not a 4.2 bug. Although still it is very strange — on Mac you save with Cmd+S and dots are made with Shift+S, so there is very little chance I misclicked, and even if I did, Shift+S isn’t supposed to clear any ties present in the selected region. And I don’t recall selecting such a large region of notes.
Well, I’m already trying to fix everything. Thank you for the answers and sorry for disturbing you with this topic!
