Lyrics

I try to enter lyricsby highlighting a note then clicking command L and the cursor comes out on the second line
(verse) one note further down. If I do the same except using a different note it comes out correctly.

So, what am I doing wrong? This is ofr Musescore 4 on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS 14.1.2.
