Strange visual issue with tie on a specific note in a specific chord
In measure 18 of the attached score, I'd like the fourth chord, the A7/C# on the 'a' of 3, to be tied to the quarter note on beat 4. This all works fine, except for the E4 in the treble clef. When I put that note in both chords and try to tie it, it goes backwards, and any attempt to edit it just extends the measure longer and doesn't follow the changes I make. This problem first came up trying to insert measures just prior to measure 18, where it made this tie extremely thick in terms of the physical size of the tie. Deleting the E erases all issues. I tried rewriting the measure and got the same issue, so I then made a new score (blank - not a duplicate score), pasted everything prior to the problematic measure, then rewrote it and the tie still behaved the same way.
