MMS 4.2 crashes after appending horizontal frame

MuseScore 4.2 crashes every time I try to append a horizontal frame at the end of my score. Is seems to be dependent on there being parts to the score or not. On scores with only one voice like for example for lead sheets it is possible to append a horizontal frame. As soon as there is more than one voice (and parts) every time I try to append a horizontal frame (Add/Frames/Add horizontal frame) MS 4.2 crashes.
