MuseScore 4.2.0 - How to edit text properties?
The handbook says to 1) select the text, 2) right-click to select Text Properties, and 3) I should see a dialogue box where I can change the color, etc.
But when I right-click and open the text properties panel, all I see is swing properties (see attached). How do I simply change the color of selected text?
I know about text styles, but it looks like that's a hot mess right now. I'm short on time and I'm not an expert with MuseScore.

Which handbook are you looking at and whereabouts in it.

you will see instructions that differ from what you wrote and which work as expected for me.
Note that it says use one of the following methods. So be sure not to double click before using right click. Double click allows you to edit the text content

I must have been looking at an old handbook. The instructions you shared worked great. I'm bookmarking handbook 4 now, thanks!
