Crashes when activating new instrument in part
When I try to activate (make visible) the tam-tam in the percussion part, Musescore crashes. Any idea?

So far, I don't get a crash. But the part is not added to the score.

Hmm... maybe I'm not using the correct terminology. See attached pic: I've created a percussion part (arrow). I get a crash when making the tam-tam visible (arrow).

OK. Indeed, when I try to add the tam tam to your perc part, it crashes. But when I create a perc part and add the vibraphone, I can also add the tam tam without issue. How are you creating the Perc part?

For some reason, Reset the Perc. part (via the Parts dialog, and the three dots "...") solves the problem, and allows the tam-tam to be visible again. See: 1Experiments from the N-Space 2 - Jan Update1.mscz

Awesome -thank you both for your help!
In this case Musescore crashes because some elements in parts are "desynced" from main score.
The problem element is text line 32'' in measure 42 (if you move this element in parts, it will not become orange, but it should do so in Musescore 4.2.0).
I can submit this issue for Musescore team and they will fix the crash.
But what is much more interesting is how you achieved this "desynchronization" state. I couldn't reproduce it.
1. Do you remember in which Musescore version this score was created? I assume it was 4.1.1, and later it was saved in 4.2.0.
2. Did you use copy/paste from other musescore files?

Great, that would be great if you could submit the issue. Thank you.
Hope this helps. Thanks again
