Strange placement of rests
When I select a whole rest and click "6" to make it a half rest, the space is not devided equally. The first rest is also not centered or it just appears more on the left side. It's better visible in wide bars. Is this a knows issue?

That look perfectly normal to me.
Rests are positioned in the bar in relation to the beats they start on.
The first rest is on beat 1 which is at the start of the bar The second rest is on beat 3 which is in the middle of the bar. What other arrangement did you expect?
Try it with quarter rests and you should see that the rest on beat 3 is also in the middle of the bar.
