I have arranged a song for my friend and I and manged to export to pdf, but I wanted to make fine alterations on it and tried to import it. musescore tells me the score is corrupt and should not be opened, and cannot be privately published.

A PDF file is not a score. Please attach your real score, which is the .mscz file.

Thankyou for replying. I think I am going the correct route to attempt to convert a pdf file to a score, but it won't.
I'm going to add both the pdf and the mscz file below.
.. tried to import it
Did you try to import the PDF file with File > Import PDF which uses optical music recognition (OMR)?
That works after a fashion, but the OMR mistakes the Harp part for two separate vocal lines.
[EDIT] ... and I still don't see your .mscz file as an attachment.
See the attached imported score (.mscz file), where I added a blank Harp instrument. You can copy-and-paste much of the music from the spurious vocal lines, but you will have to correct some errors where the OMR has simply got it wrong.
