Want to import from PDF but keeps deleting everything.
I just made a score for bagpipes. When I saved it I also saved a copy as PDF. The saved file got corrupted somehow and now when I try to import it from the PDF, it changes it to vocals and deletes grace notes and other notes in the score. What can I do to fix this?
The bfc3ea... file is what it becomes. The other two are the original

You may have to accept that almost all software for optical music recognition (OMR) will struggle to understand bagpipe embellishments.
In case it is any use to you, here is a clean score from a commercial OMR - but it's also without any grace notes.

Thank you
You will (probably) get a better version if you open the Nkosi Sikele'.mscz with a zip tool and extract the mscx file from there.
I did this and it could be opened in MuS 3.7. See attachment, grace notes and bagpipes are still there.
But I have no way of knowing if everything is correct.
