MS4 playback just sounds wrong

I'm using v4.2.1 after having used v3.6, and while many features have been improved upon, MS4's playback is very unpredictable and not great to listen to.

My main problem is the way it stutters through rhythms. The notes it plays don't fall perfectly on the beat, and it makes the whole experience terrible for me. I haven't heard anyone else talk about this issue, but to me it's very noticeable and I really hope it can be fixed.
