How to have certain number of measures per line
Hello,
I am transposing a piece I got in concert pitch to tenor/soprano sax. How do I, for example have 5 measures in the first line of the sheet music and then 4 measures in the following measures. I can't seem to find out how. I have attached what I have started on.

Apply a system break to the 5th measure, the same way you did to the 9th measure

I am not sure how to do that. Sounds good in theory but not logically. I have attached a screenshot of the system break options. Which item do I chose then?

Just add them manually
Or select all but the 1st measure, then use that tool and add a system break every 4 measures

I apologize for my ignorance and thank you for responding. How do I add a manual system break where I want it after the fourth real measure?

See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/systems-and-horizontal-spacing#syst…
Hint. You do it the same way you start a new line in a word processer.

Thank you!
Why would a sax have only a 4-lines staff???

It doesn't. I was trying to figure out how MuseScore studio works. I accidentally removed a staff line. lol
Thank you all for your assistance. I had to select either all or partial measures to get the breaks to work to way I needed. If I just selected one measure, it did not work.

To add a single System break to a single measure, select the measure (or a single note/rest in the measure). Go to the Palettes (upper left), open the Layout palette, and click the System break button. Unless you have moved it, System break will be the first button in the palette; the icon is a dotted square around an arrow turning ninety degrees from down to left.

Or after selecting a note/rest or measure press RETURN on your PC keyboard ... just as you would to start a new line of text in a text editor.
