MuseScore crashes Win2K on startup.

Using MuseScore 0.9.3 (downloaded 28 October 2008):
1. Install MuseScore.
2. Run MuseScore.

Windows 2000 (SP4) crashes with a blue screen of death: BAD_POOL_CALLER. (0x000000C2, 0x00000007, 0x00000B8A,
E1715B40, E1715B48)

I don't have any more information than this about the error message because there's nothing in the Event Log when Windows restarts. I'm happy to pass on any configuration information about my environment if it'll help.

This seems to be specific to Windows 2000; MuseScore runs fine for me on WinXP on a different machine.

Googling the error message suggests that these messages mostly stem from hardware problems, although MuseScore is the only software that I've run that causes the crash on my machine. The system is otherwise completely stable.

http://forums.techarena.in/windows-server-help/892706.htm might be of use; even if there's nothing you can do, a warning to users might be appropriate.
