Failed attempt to revert to version 3.6.2 form 4.4.2 version

• Oct 6, 2024 - 20:55

Gentlemen, days ago I told you about the problems I had with the 4.4.2 version. Following your assistance I downloaded the 3.6.2 version and, as the problem subsisted, the Portable version also. However in both cases my old musescore files (which were automatically converted to version 4.4.2, when making the change) remained as violet-colored 4.4.2 ones. The same when I try to create a new file, which appears as 4.4.2. Sincerely it woul be a "tragedy" for me if I can´t replace back all these files (more than 50!!) by the 3.6.2 version and also to create new pieces in this more affordable (for me) format.

Your assistance again will be very welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Comments

First: Your 3.6.2 scores are not automatically converted in 4.x-format. Make a copy of the scores of Musescore 3 into the folder of Musecore 4 - and don't open the Musescore 3 files in Musescore 4 and simply press "Save"!

On the other hand you cannot open MuS 4 files in MuS 3 except you use MuS 3.7 Evolution from Jojo-Schmitz; a fork of 3.6.2 but is able to open MuS 4 files.
