Automatically determine note length when using MIDI keyboard?

Is it somehow possible to automatically determine the note length (quarter, half, full, etc.) when inputting notes with a keyboard, based on how fast you play?

I'd very much assume Musescore isn't capable of that, based on everything I've seen so far...
