SLURS, TIES & HAIRPINS - APPEAR BLUE?
Working on parts, I have found that Slurs, Ties and Hairpins
are appearing blue in colour. If I click on any of these it will
return to black. How can I prevent the colour blue from appearing?

If they appear blue, it's because you've clicked on them, which puts them in edit mode. And they remain in this mode even if you navigate to another part and return to the first (I guess that's what you're talking about)
Simply press "Escape" or single-click in an empty space in the score to prevent that.
Otherwise, if you see them in orange, don't be surprised, it's this feature: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/parts#managing-synchronisation-betw…
