Time signature changes won't get applied on page 2
Hi there,
today I encounted a bug that causes time signature changes not being applied on page 2.
Originally I created a page break for the next section of the song I am transcribing. Every third bar in that section, the time signature changes from 4/4 to 5/4 and back. I coulnd't apply that change. When I deleted the page break, it would work again, now that the first three bars of the section were on page 1 again. After the following automatic page break (the first page is full), I'm not able to create the time signature change yet again. So it doesn't seem to be caused by the manual page break. I tried out other time signatures, but they don't get applied on page 2 either, so it isn't tied to that particular time signature of 5/4. I then added a manual page break on page 2 and tried adding the time signature change on page 3. That worked. I repeated that once again and on page 4, the time signature change was also apllied. So the problem seems to be tied to page 2.
So I have a workaround (ignoring page 2 for the moment, transcribing everything from page 3ff and then later deleting the page break on page 2 - the signature changes don't get deleted on page 2, I just can't add any new ones), but I wanted to inform you about that problem.
Cheers
Johannes

Score needed, but I guess you uses a section break and if so this is by design

Not being able to add a time signature ... but only on page 2 ... is "by design"????? I'm highly skeptical.
However, I'm unable to replicate this behavior. Whether I have a manual page break, an automatic page break (because page 1 is full), or manual page break/section break, I continue to be able to add time signatures on all pages. Might be worth doing the Help / Revert to factory settings.

A time sig applied to the 1st section won't affect the 2nd __ section__, if you wait to change that 2nd time sig (too), this is another step

I don't think that's what OP was describing. I believe that they were describing not being able to add time signatures on the second page. As I said, I can't replicate that.
JohannesMZW? Clarification, please?

Yes, you're completely right. I can't add time signatures on page 2. There is no section break (at least no section break that I know of...).
I'll attach the score to this message.
