Chord symbols
Hello, I'm new to musescore. I wanted to make a request to see if it would be easier to make chord charts and quick cheat sheets. I find the process somewhat tedious where I cannot place the cursor where I want before having to select a note value in the bar line and hit control K. Could we please have it set up where I can just put the cursor where I want it. I also cannot fine how to make the symbols larger. My friends and I are getting up there in age and cannot see as well. Larger chords would be invaluable. thanks Jacob
- Easier to make chord charts
- Larger chord symbols

I can think of at least three different things you might mean by "chord charts". Can you clarify, please? Perhaps provide an image of an example.
Sadly, at this time you cannot change the size of the chord symbols except by scaling the entire score larger. I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong?) that I saw something about this becoming available with version 4.5 or 5.0?

So kewl!!! I had not known that.
Full menu path is Format / Style / Text styles / Chord symbol
Can anyone tell me what the options under Format / Style / Text styles / Chord symbol (alternate) do?

Moving between the two options I notice that in alternate the italic button is activated.

I had seen that too. But how does one USE the alternate chord text style?

That works great to enlarge the symbols! Thanks!. Now if i could control the placement of the chord symbols with the mouse that would be great.

Controlling their placement with the Offset value is MUCH better. Select all the chords (or only "these three") and adjust their Offset and they all move the same amount.

What do you mean exactly by control with the mouse?
Do you want to be able to click above a note and start to type chords there?
That can't work as any time the measure would move a bit the chord would be completely misplaced.
You only need to use ctrl K once in the entire score, then use space, tab, ctrl+5,... to move the cursor
