Figured Bass

• Mar 2, 2025 - 02:40

When inserting figured bass, I use what is labeled as "Standard accidentals for chord symbols." Whenever I use the sharp symbol after a number, ex. 6#, the number below it skips to the line above. Note that I haven't tried this with other special characters, or placement of the special character. What i mean by skipping is that if I wanted to notate something as:

6#
4,

the program, when reloaded, will automatically incorrectly correct itself into:

6#4.

If I wrote something like:

6#
4
2,

when the program is reloaded it would become:

6#4
2.

This also applies to any number directly preceding the sharp symbol. I didn't used to have this problem prior with the exact same conditions. Is this a fix on my end, or on MuseScore's?

This is not what I'm seeing here with the command Ctrl/Cmd + G (version 4.4.4, Win 10)
After saving and reopening the file, the result is as expected - image below.
Do you use the same command? And what platform (Windows, Mac, Linux) and version of MuseScore are you running exactly?
