Double notes on the same note

How do I input two of the same note near the same note head? I have a open string note on the guitar and a fretted note, same note, played at the same time. Thanks!

That would be what I described as a "chord" in my post above. Bottom note, Shift+top note.

[A few moments later] OH! You want the two notes to be the same pitch!!! This is called a "unison".

Still a chord. As shown in the examples below, set the duration and type E. Then type Shift+E. This gives you a chord of the two Es, an octave apart. Now press Ctrl+Down to move the currently selected note (the top E) down an octave.

When you create a chord, the Shifted notes always go to the first such note higher than the highest note entered thus far. If you want the newly entered note to be lower, simply use Ctrl+Down to lower it by an octave.
