Glissandi on Windows XP
Hi, Gang!!!
I tried to use the glissandi function with MuseScore 2.0 Beta with my old PC (Windows XP) and... Nothing!!!
Does somebody have tested it with Windows 7 or 8? Does it work? ???
BTW: I use the GeneralUser GS MuseScore v1.44 soundfont bank and I have some problems with it (mostly, the typical MIDI synthesizer hang up). Where is the "PANIC" button? ???
Thanks a lot for your time!!!
God bless you all!!!!!!!

When you say "nothing" happens, do you mean that you are having problems adding the symbol to your score? If you mean you want it to affect playback, that is not supported. It should work fine in that it displays and prints with your score, but not all markings that MuseScore can create affect playback. Do keep in mind the primary purpose of MuseSocre is notation, not playback. Gradually we are adding more and more playback support, so perhaps someday glissandi will be supported for playback as well.
MuseScore has no MIDI panic button. I suppose it could probably use one, althohgh I don't find I have problems very often. Closing the score and reopening it might help, or of course quitting MuseScore and restarting.
A few people have reported thus far that beta 1 does not run on their XP. For them there seems to be a working solution available at http://musescore.org/en/node/31361#comment-133981
Let us know if these instructions solve it as well for you.
