Bass and Treble Staves are reversed
I imported a midi file and the Bass clef is above the Treble clef. Is there a way to correct this, or is the midi file at fault?
(Or, do I need to be upside down like young Mozart?)

Add / instruments: in tab moves as needed
I'm using MuseScore 1.3 as I'm in Win7. Your image looks like it might be 2.0?
I went to tab, . I highlighted "staff 1, bass clef" and hit the "down" button.
There was no immediate response on the score screen. Maybe I should "save as" first before selecting the "save" button?
Or, should I try MuseScore vs. 2.0? Do I have to uninstall vs. 1.3 first?
Thanks for your reply.

Yes, the 2.0 b2.
1.3 / 2.0 b2 and Nightly can coexist peacefully without uninstalling
(and worth a try)
1.3:
Create / Instruments;
Make sure you have selected the principal (see attached) and move up / down as desired;
Click Ok ... Done (on Vista)

It would help if you posted the actual MIDI file. But for whatever, it appears 1.3 has imported it as two separate "instruments" rather than a single intrument that happens to have two staves. So you need to change the order of the isntruments themselves. Had it imported as a single instrument with two staves - which is probably what 2.0 builds would do, if there is nothing strange about the MIDI file that would prevent it (like the two staves using different sounds) - *then* you'd reorded the staves within the instrument.

Shoichi walked me through the problem. It's resolved.
Thanks for the reply.
"Principle" That worked.
Thank you.
