Can't delete measure(s)
Using latest Windows release (0.9.6 pre-release, rev 2674) it is no longer possible to deleate measures from a score. I used to be able to do this using ctrl and select the measure(s) whereupon teh measure(s) would be highlighted in a dotted blue line. Now I only get a solid blue line and delete only removes the notes!

OK - I've found the new menu option under "Edit".
Yes, I had the same problem, and struggled with it for awhile. I'm curious as to why the old way was removed.

Progress?

I understand the new way, but why couldn't we keep the old way as well? The old way wasn't broken or conflict with anything (as far as I know).

The old way was confusing fo new users because it involved two ways of selecting measure.
Now you click on a measure to select it. If you want to delete the content of it you press Sup (No change)
f you want to delete it completely you press Ctrl + Click.

I adjusted the handbook: Measure operations

I can see how that would be confusing to new users. I do like the Ctrl-Del to delete the measures (I thought the only way was to go under the Edit menu to do it, which I didn't like), so I'm glad that was clarified.
Move curser on the ”sheet music line“ in the box of selected measures, right click the mouse, you will see "deleted selected measures" on the bottom

That longer exists in 3.0... There it is called "Timewise delete" and is only availabie in the menus and via Ctrl+Del (and can do more than is predecessor in 2.x), but hopefully soon will get renamed, see #279389: Request to rename "Timewise delete" command
But then again you responded to a thread from 2010...
