Beaming options
currently the automatic beaming for eighth notes (currently working in 4/4) is to beam sets of 4 eighth notes together. I prefer to beam only two eighth notes together because that keeps each beat beamed together. This makes the score more easily readable in my opinion. If there was an option to set the beam groups globally (such as 4,4 or 2,2,2,2 in the case of 4/4. 3,2,2 or 2,2,3 for 7/8 etc.) there would be a lot less clicking to set beams.

I'd like this too! Just the simple number entry as suggested here is fine, nothing more is needed.

It is helpful, even in the middle of a piece to modify the beaming structure. I like to beam 4 eighth notes together, but prefer to only beam mixed (such as a 16th note and two 32nd notes) in groupings of three. I thought that was what the beaming function was in the pallatte, but it doesn't seem to work.
