Musescore 2.0 Beta
Help! I had downloaded the 2.0 beta for Linux, imported all my Guitar Pro songs and was a happy camper. I then downloaded the 2.0b-1 beta for Linux - and sound went away! When choosing Jack I can see mscore in the connections, but there is no sound. I can choose PulseAudio, yet there is still no sound! Do I have to wait for the official release or can this be looked into in a beta for Linux?
Just so you know - I LOVE this product!

The problem withh sound on Linux is pretty much always one of installation - we don't yet have official install packages, so depending on where you are getting the beta from, you might be getting just the executable without the accompanying soundfont and other necessary files, or you might be getting the files but not the setup scripts to put things in their proper places and tell MuseScore where to find them.
So it would help if you can say
- which specific link did you use to downlaod
- what specific commands did you use to do the install
- if you open View / Synthesizer from within MuseScore, does it show you that FluidR3 is loaded?
- if you go to Edit / Preferences, do the paths shown seem right?
When in doubt, trying running with the -F option to reset to factory settings.

Hello Mark,
Okay, I think I have answers to each of your questions:
1. The link is: http://musescore.org/en/node/33181#comment-224611.
2. The package is: https://people.debian.org/~tiago/musescore_2.0b-1_amd64.deb.
3. First I remove existing musescore then execute: sudo dpkg -i musescore_2.0b-1_amd64.deb, followed by: sudo apt-get -f install
4. The View/Synthesizer picture is (it does not look like FluidR3 is loaded):
5. The preferences is:
6. Running with -F parameter does not change anything
Is there anything I am missing that I should do? The previous beta worked beautifully! To the point of letting me use Musescore in place of GuitarPro and TuxGuitar. I love what you folks are doing!

Wow! This is really cool! I followed the compile steps on this post: http://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/compilation/compile-instruc…
And now have a fully functional, with sound, Musescore 2.0 RC running on Ubuntu Studio 14.10! This is really cool!
