In MuseScore 2, UI uses Bravura symbols, but default font is still Emmentaler?
In some cases, this is very noticeable, such as the differently shaped treble clef. I happen to like Bravura better myself, but it's an uncomfortable visual clash.

Indeed, in MuseScore 2, UI uses Bravura symbols, but default font is still Emmentaler!
I guess that wasn't what you want to hear? ;-)

I should know better than to add a question mark instead of a period and "Why?". ;-(
So: why? Was it some kind of mistake? Crossed signals between somebody who wanted to change everything over to Bravura, and somebody who switched the default font back to Emmentaler? Or a deliberate choice, with specific reasoning behind it?

I suspect the reasoning is, Emmmentaler might not contain all the symbols used in the palettes, so Bravura makes more sense to use there. In your score, even if you are using Emmentaler, Bravura is used as a "fallback" for symbols not present in Emmentaler.
But that's just a guess, actually.

Something new I just discovered: in Master Palette -> Key Signatures, the treble clef is blatantly Bravura; in Master Palette -> Time Signatures, it's blatantly Emmentaler!
The same is true, again, for Time Signature Properties. Also, in at least those two cases where Emmentaler is used, the background color is that parchment-color which was the default in MuseScore 1.3 (elsewhere it's white).

This seems a bug to me.

AFAIR it was a deliberate choice (and one I challenged back then). Bravura in the palette for completeness, Emmentaler in scores for backward compatibility.
If you want bravura in your score, switch to it. If you want it to happen automagically, setup templates.

Does that explain this discrepancy in size between the Pedal symbol as a line and the Pedal symbol from the Master Palette?
I've been wanting to report it as a bug but it seems it may be "by design"!
In reply to Does that explain this by James Brigham
Not really, the difference in size is due to the fact that the Ped line uses the Musical Text Font while the Ped symbol uses the Musical Font as defined in Style > General > Score.

I guess so, but check yourself by changing the Musical Symbol and Text Fonts of the score to Bravura
