How to have three 1/8 notes fit into one 1/4 note?
Hi, I don't know how to ask the question correctly, but let me try to explain...
In one measure I have (from beginning to last)...
One 1/2 note, 1/4 note, 1/8 note <--(with 1/4 note beneath that!), 1/8 note, and 1/8 note. And then the next measure begins. :)
On the sheet it says that the first and last of the 1/8 notes are (tied?) and between the (tie) is the number 3.
I just want to know how to input this into the program. AND, I'm not at all interested in the 1/4 note that is beneath the first 1/8 note. I just want the top notes only <--(soprano?).
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Thank you so much, again!
I knew it had something to do with that ctrl key!
Lol.
When you do such a good job on your post's title, you hardly need to go into more detail. ;-) I saw the title in the tracker (https://musescore.org/en/tracker) and knew exactly what you meant. It's called a triplet, for future reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuplet#Triplets
