"If I add the QAction with the keyboard shortcut Qt::Meta + Qt::Key_Tab to the menu then the keyboard shortcut works as expected." This was found to be a bug in Qt on Cocoa. (https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-8596) But there is a workaround suggested for it in the comment section.

I tried the workaround but it doesn't work for us.
