moving bar line globally
I'm new to Muse.
I imported a score and it didn't account for the pickup beat and all of my
barlines are in the wrong place. How do I fix this globally?

What did you import from? Pickups should be recognized if actualy present in the original file, although MIDI files may or may not contain that sort of information.
Anyhow, you don't move the barlines - you move the music. Ctrl+A to select all, Ctrl+X to cut, then create the pickup bar (right click first measure, change Actual duration), then click there again, Ctrl+V to paste.

Thanks so much for the quick answer! When I right click on the first measure I don't see an option for changing the duration.

Oh, sorry, forgot to mention, it's in Measure Properties.

Select "Measure Properties..." from the dropdown menu and then you can change it in the window that opens up.

I'm such a novice and so lost.
I get to the drop down menu (menu properties) and the program crashes every time.
What am I doing wrong? The tune is in 3/4 and I have a 1 beat pick-up.

You are using an outdated version, 1.x rather than the latest 2.0.1.
Esp. on Mavericks 1.3 is known to crash in this situation

Not that having an outdated version shoudl cause crashes. But there is one particular older version - 1.3 - that had an issue on Mac OS Mavericks & later only where it would crash on changing this property. Earlier versions did not have that issue, nor do more recent versions.
